Free Crochet Pom Pom Purin Dressed As Tomato Plushie Pattern

Materials                                                                    

- Bernat Velvet Yarn in Soft Sunshine
- Bernat Velvet Yarn in Emerald 
- Yarn Bee Velvety Smooth in Red
- N and H crochet hooks
- Darning Needle
- Brown Felt
- Fabric Glue

Abbreviations                                                            

SLST - slip stitch

CH - chain

SC - single crochet

DC - double crochet

Inv dec - invisible decrease 

Rnd - round

🛑 Disclaimer the difference between an invisible decrease and single crochet two together is, an invisible decrease is worked in the back loop only.

Body                                                                            

In Red
Rnd 1: 6 SC in magic circle [6]

Rnd 2: 2 SC in each SC around [12]

Rnd 3: *2 SC, SC in next SC*, repeat 6 times [18]

Rnd 4: *2 SC, SC in next 2 SC*, repeat 6 times [24]

Rnd 5: *2 SC, SC in next 3 SC*, repeat 6 times [30]

Rnd 6-11: SC in each SC around

In Soft Sunshine
Rnd 12-14: SC in each SC around

Rnd 15: *Inv dec, SC in next 3 SC*, repeat 6 times [24]

Rnd 16: *Inv dec, SC in next 2 SC*, repeat 6 times [18]

Begin stuffing the body.

Rnd 17: *Inv dec, SC in next 1 SC*, repeat 6 times [12]

Rnd 18: Inv dec all around [6]

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Arms                                                                          

In Soft Sunshine 

Rnd 1: 6 SC in magic circle [6]

Rnd 2: *2 SC, SC in next SC*, repeat 6 times [9]

Rnd 3-6: SC in each SC around [9]

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Feet                                                                            

In Soft Sunshine 
Rnd 1: 5 SC in magic circle [5]

Rnd 2: 2 SC in each SC around [10]

Rnd 3-4: SC in each SC around [10]

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing

Tail                                                              

In Soft Sunshine 

Rnd 1: 5 SC in magic circle [5]

Rnd 2 – 4: SC in each SC around [5]

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Ears                                                              

In Soft Sunshine (double your yarn)

Rnd 1: 6 SC in magic circle [6]

Rnd 2: 2 SC in each SC around [12]

Rnd 3: *2 SC, SC in next SC*, repeat 6 times [18]

Rnd 4 – 6: SC in each SC around [18]

Rnd 7: *SC 2 together, SC in next sc*, repeat 6 times [12]

Rnd 8 – 12: SC in each SC around [12]

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Beret (cap)                                                 

In Red

Rnd 1: 6 SC in magic circle [6]

Rnd 2: 2 SC in each SC around [12]

Rnd 3: *2 SC, SC in next SC*, repeat 6 times [18]

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Beret (leaves)                                                         

Row 1: *CH 9, SLST in second CH from hook, SLST in next stitch, dc in next four stitches, SLST in last to CH’s* repeat 5 times.

Row 2: join to the first leaf

•try to tighten up the hole with SLST

Row 3: CH 4

Rnd 1: Starting in second chain from hook, SC in the next 3 SC, SLST to center of leaves. 

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Assembly                                                                 

Sew everything together 

Cut out pieces of felt for the mouth and eyes

Glue eyes and mouth on
