Materials                                                                    

- Bernat Velvet Yarn in Soft Sunshine
- Bernat Velvet Yarn in Emerald 
- Yarn Bee Velvety Smooth in Red
- N and H crochet hooks
- Darning Needle
- Brown Felt
- Fabric Glue

Abbreviations                                                            

SLST - slip stitch

CH - chain

SC - single crochet

DC - double crochet

Inv dec - invisible decrease 

Rnd - round

🛑 Disclaimer the difference between an invisible decrease and single crochet two together is, an invisible decrease is worked in the back loop only.

In Red
Rnd 1: 6 SC in magic circle [6]

Rnd 2: 2 SC in each SC around [12]

Rnd 3: *2 SC, SC in next SC*, repeat 6 times [18]

Rnd 4: *2 SC, SC in next 2 SC*, repeat 6 times [24]

Rnd 5: *2 SC, SC in next 3 SC*, repeat 6 times [30]

Rnd 6-11: SC in each SC around

In Soft Sunshine
Rnd 12-14: SC in each SC around

Rnd 15: *Inv dec, SC in next 3 SC*, repeat 6 times [24]

Rnd 16: *Inv dec, SC in next 2 SC*, repeat 6 times [18]

Begin stuffing the body.

Rnd 17: *Inv dec, SC in next 1 SC*, repeat 6 times [12]

Rnd 18: Inv dec all around [6]

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Row 1: *CH 9, SLST in second CH from hook, SLST in next stitch, dc in next four stitches, SLST in last to CH’s* repeat 5 times.

Row 2: join to the first leaf

•try to tighten up the hole with SLST

Row 3: CH 4

Rnd 1: Starting in second chain from hook, SC in the next 3 SC, SLST to center of leaves. 

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Assembly                                                                 

Sew everything together 

Cut out pieces of felt for the mouth and eyes

Glue eyes and mouth on

Crochet Reversible Halloween Circle Skirt

I thought this was such a cute idea! But I didn’t want to wear the spiders year round so I made it both reversible and the spiders removable. Seems like a lot I know. But if I wanted it more textured with the seams showing I wanted that option without the spiders! If you don’t want it reversible it would be super easy to add in a zipper. All you would have to do is before you single crochet the last panels together, you would have to sew the zipper to both sides and single crochet the rest of the way up from the bottom.
